Healthcare Management Major, B.S.

Admission to Major

Admission to major: 2.0 grade-point average or better and completion of all required major-related General Education math courses with a grade of C or higher.

General education math sequence options:

• The math course options will be based on the HCM Major Concentration MTH 148  and MTH 149  courses required for Pre-MBA and double BBA major Concentration.
• All other HCM Major concentrations select math courses STA 147  and OSM 202  to satisfy M/QL and major requirements and all math courses require completion of courses with a final grade of C or higher.

Transfer students must complete at least fifty percent of HCM major coursework at Cleveland State University.

Hours Required for Degree

Minimum hours required for degree: 120

Minimum hours required for major: The Healthcare Management major requires completion of 27 credits from the business core, 31 credits from the Healthcare management core, and 27 credits from the HCM concentration with at least 42 credit hours from upper divisional 300/400 level courses.

Major-Field Requirements

Graduation requirements: Minimum of a grade of C or higher in all HCM major-related courses (business core, Healthcare management core, and HCM concentration). HCM major courses (business core, Healthcare management core, and HCM concentration) in which a grade lower than a “C” was earned must be repeated.
