Biomedical Engineering Minor

For engineering majors, a minor in biomedical engineering consists of 16 credits in the program, with a grade of C or better in each course. For non-engineering majors, there could be additional pre-requisites they need to complete before being eligible to enroll in core BME courses.

Transfer students must complete a minimum of 9 of these credits at CSU to earn the minor.

Core Courses


For engineering majors, a minor in biomedical engineering consists of 16 credits in the program, with a grade of C or better in each course. For non-engineering majors, there could be additional pre-requisites they need to complete before being eligible to enroll in core BME courses.

Elective Courses


For chemical engineering majors, BME 304  is exempt as they would have taken ESC 301 - Fluid Mechanics  and CHE 306 - Transport Phenomena . BME elective course(s) can then be selected from the list below to complete the remaining requirements for BME minor. Below are a few suggested courses:
