Computational and Applied Modeling Certificate

The Computational and Applied Modeling Certificate fosters critical quantitative reasoning skills and trains certificate seekers in modern computational and applied modeling techniques. The training is done through course work developing expertise in modeling phenomena in the physical, life, and social sciences, as well as financial mathematics. Depending on the electives chosen, the curricula may include probabilistic and deterministic modeling, financial mathematics, high-performance computing, analytic techniques, and computational mathematics.

For questions and more information please contact the advisor to the certificate program (Dr. Hoover at a.p.hoover@csuohio.edu).

Requirements

A Certificate in Computational and Applied Modeling consists of 15 credits with a grade of C or better in each course. It is required that 6 of those credits be MTH 311  and MTH 401 , while the remaining 9 credits are chosen from the list of approved electives.
