Through the BA+MS or BS+MS program, students may complete a BA or BS in Mathematics with a Master of Science in Statistics and Analytics degree. Students are eligible to apply after they have completed 60 credit hours in their undergraduate program. If accepted, students complete their bachelor’s and master’s coursework during their third, fourth and fifth years.

Admission to Program


To apply to the accelerated program a student must:

  • Be a current undergraduate student seeking a BA or BS in mathematics.
  • Have completed 60 undergraduate credit hours.
  • Have completed MTH 181 MTH 182 MTH 281 MTH 288 , and either STA 323  or STA 347 .
  • Have earned a GPA of 3.5 in MTH 281 MTH 288 , and (STA 323  or STA 347 ) and a 3.0 GPA overall.
  • File the Accelerated Master’s Program Application.

Students who are accepted for an accelerated program may apply or transfer a maximum of 9 graduate credit hours taken while an undergraduate to their graduate record. All credits requested for transfer must carry a letter grade of A, A-, B+, or B in graduate courses. No additional graduate credit hours taken as an undergraduate may be applied or transferred to the graduate record.
