MTH 496H - Honors Project[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: At least two mathematics courses numbered 300 or above, or approval of the Department Honors Liaison Officer. Students will work individually with a mathematics faculty investigating a mathematical or statistical topic of mutual interest. Students will be required to read articles assigned by the faculty member. A student’s work will consist of a written pre-proposal, and a final paper complete with Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. In addition, students will give an oral presentation of their work to department faculty and students.
