CHE 510 - Structure of Materials(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing in chemical or civil engineering, or permission of instructor. Basic principles determining the atomic and crystal structures of materials. Topics include instrumental and structural analysis techniques, evolution of microstructures (phases/phase diagrams), processing (diffusive, solidification, mechanical working) techniques and their influence on microstructures.
