DPT 872 - Physical Therapy Management of Complex Conditions VII(2 credits) Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Physical Therapy Program or permission of instructor. Lecture and laboratory study of human movement involving the principles of mechanics and physiology of the neurologic, musculoskeletal, integumentary, and cardiopulmonary systems in combination. Normal function is compared with signs of dysfunction. The role of the physical therapist in the prevention, maintenance and restoration of function associated with impairments and limitations is explored. Emphasis is on total patient management through critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
