ECE 517 - Science Instruction and Assessment in Preschool and the Primary Grades

Prerequisite(s): ECE 500 and EDC 501. Covers the nature, scope, and role of science experiences in the learning and development of young children. Emphasis is given to a constructivist, inquiry-oriented approach consistent with national standards. Discussions, demonstrations, and experiments draw from physical, biological, and earth sciences.
