ECE 518 - Administration and Management of Early Childhood Education Programs

(3 credits)

Prerequisite(s): ECE 500 and EDC 501. Students develop specialized administration and leadership skills for use in early childhood care centers or other settings serving young children and their families. The course emphasizes licensing regulations, NAEYC center accreditation; proposal writing; lobbying/advocacy; and such management functions as housing, equipping, financing, budgeting, and staffing centers.
