HCA 525 - Information Systems in Health Care(2 credits) Prerequisite(s): HCA 515 or equivalent. Examines ways in which an integrated information system can provide data to support the operations, management, and decision-making functions in a health care organization. Consideration of the applications of the computer in the hospital and other health care institutions. Collection, storage, processing, and presentation of information for internal and external use. Projects include use of major microcomputer spreadsheet, graphics, and database packages.
