EBA 611 - Management Information Systems

Provides an overall view of the issues central to an enterprise’s information system (IS) including but not limited to decision support, enterprise resource planning systems, business process re-engineering and systems design, change management and knowledge management as well as managing out sourcing and off shore IS projects. It does not require any technical expertise and will not teach any specific computer programming. On the completion of this course students will not only become familiar with the key forces shaping the firm’s IS environment but also issues pertaining to the management of the firm’s IS portfolio, strategic uses of IS, as well as how to realize the value of their IS within the organization. Restricted to EMBA students.
