EGT 512 - Introduction to Gifted Education[3 credit(s)] An introduction to the multi-dimensionality of giftedness and how to best meet the needs of students with gifts and talents. Topics include foundational knowledge (e.g., standards, historical and current trends, affective and cognitive characteristics), identification and assessment, special populations (e.g., information about giftedness and gender, ethnicity, race, language, underachievement, socio-economic status, twice-exceptionality), gifted education services, and teaching gifted students.
