PSY 711 - Health Psychology in Later Life[4 credit(s)] Prerequisite: This course is reserved for students in the Adult Development & Aging Doctoral Program or permission of the instructor. This course focuses on the major theories and methodologies for studying health psychology and aging. Using a biopsychosocial model and lifespan perspective, topics include psychoneuroimmunological processes, psychoneuroendocrinology, cardiovascular reactivity, psychosocial risk factors and buffers, health disparities, and intervention/clinical protocols.
