NUR 701 - Physiology and Pathophysiology for Advanced Nursing Practice[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: Admission to the DNP Program. This course provides a system focused advanced understanding of concepts in alterations of various physiological systems. Physiologic changes are compared and contrasted over the life span. Students will relate this knowledge to interpret changes in normal function that results in symptoms indicative of illness. Emphasis is placed on those major acute and chronic disorders that are most prevalent, in terms of morbidity and mortality, in the U.S. population.
