NUR 830 - PMHNP Focus IV Clinical: Group Therapy

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 820, NUR 821, NUR 822, NUR 823, NUR 824, NUR 825, NUR 826, NUR 827, NUR 828. Co-Requisites: NUR 829. This course focuses on primary assessment and diagnostic skills needed to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions in adults or children exhibiting mental illness. Special focus is on client group therapy and education as interventions to improve outcomes. HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 180 hours over an average of 12-15 weeks. NOTE: Students must be successful in companion course NUR 829 in order to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 830).
