NUR 806 - FNP Focus III Clinical: Care of Children and Adolescent Clients[5 credit(s)]
Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 712, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 800, NUR 801, NUR 802, NUR 803, & NUR 804. Co-Requisites: NUR 805. This practicum course offers opportunities for students to engage in specific components of advanced nursing practice during self-directed clinical experiences in collaboration with preceptors. Students will apply advanced knowledge of normal anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and psychosocial concepts to nursing care of children and adolescents and their families. HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 180 hours over an average of 12-15 weeks. NOTE: Students must be successful in companion course NUR 805 in order to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 806).
