NUR 808 - FNP Focus IV Clinical: Care of the Aging Adult Client

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 712, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 800, NUR 801, NUR 802. Co-Requisites: NUR 807. This practicum course offers opportunities for students to engage in specific components of advanced nursing practice during self-directed clinical experiences in collaboration with preceptors. Students will apply advanced knowledge of normal anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and psychosocial concepts to nursing care of aging adult and families. HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 180 hours over an average of 12-15 weeks. NOTE: Students must be successful in co-requisite course NUR 807 to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 808).
