NUR 820 - Psychiatric Mental Health Assessment

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 711, NUR 712, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 716. This course builds on the knowledge of advanced health assessment with a focus on clients with co-morbid physical and psychiatric conditions commonly seen in psychiatric/mental health settings. Emphasis is placed on communication, organized health assessments related to identification of co-morbidity and interrelationship of physical and psychiatric conditions. This course includes 30 hours of clinical practice experience activities.
