NUR 803 - FNP Focus II: Women’s Health in the Reproductive Years

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 712, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 800, NUR 801, NUR 802. Co-Requisites: NUR 804. This course focuses on the health of women in the reproductive years, providing knowledge needed for health promotion, illness prevention, diagnosis and management care of women from diverse populations in primary care and community settings. Issues of age, gender, ethnicity and sexuality will be addressed as strategies are explored for the care of well and sick female clients. NOTE: Students must be successful in companion course NUR 804 in order to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 803).
