NUR 805 - Care of Children and Adolescent Clients

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 800, NUR 803, NUR 804. Co-Requisites: NUR 806. This course focuses on the health of clients from birth to young adulthood in primary care and community settings. Health promotion, illness prevention, diagnosis and the management of common acute conditions and chronic illnesses are explored. Culturally sensitive management of comprehensive care within the family context will be approached through developmental considerations. NOTE: Students must be successful in co-requisite course NUR 806 in order to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 805).
