NUR 807 - FNP Focus IV: Care of the Aging Adult

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 710, NUR 711, NUR 712, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 800, NUR 801, NUR 802. Co-Requisites: NUR 808. This course develops the foundation for the caring of the aging adult in the primary care and community settings. With concentrations on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of care for both chronic and acute conditions, health care issues specific to the aging adult will be examined. Included will be the identification of issues that impact aging clients and their families, with an emphasis on collaborative inter-professional care of the client and family from culturally diverse backgrounds. NOTE: Students must be successful in co-requisite course NUR 808 to be eligible to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 807).
