NUR 829 - PMNNP Focus IV: Group Therapy

Prerequisites: NUR 701, NUR 702, NUR 703, NUR 704, NUR 706, NUR 707, NUR 708, NUR 709, NUR 711, NUR 713, NUR 715, NUR 716, NUR 820, NUR 821, NUR 822, NUR 823, NUR 824, NUR 825, NUR 826, NUR 827, NUR 828. Co-requisites: NUR 830. This course focuses on theories and conceptual models of group dynamics and group psychotherapy across diverse populations. By providing skills for assessment, planning, intervening and evaluating, this course will teach students to treat dysfunctional interpersonal patterns in group settings to improve the mental health of its members. Included in this course are ethical and legal implications of group psychotherapy. NOTE: Students must be successful in companion course NUR 830 in order to receive a passing grade in this course (NUR 829).
