OTH 727 - Neuromuscular Functions and Motor Skills: Evaluation and Intervention[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Program. This course is designed to teach at the application, analysis, and evaluation levels of learning. Course content focuses on the neuromuscular structures, functions and motor skills of persons across the lifespan. Students demonstrate an understanding of and apply, analyze, and evaluate the scientific evidence, theories, and frames of reference used by occupational therapists to guide and inform evaluations and occupation-based interventions of the neuromuscular areas of function and motor skills. The course lays the foundation for use of this information in a more integrated way in later courses. Lab Fee.
