OTH 734 - Occupational Environments and Contexts[4 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Program. This course is designed so that students understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create the symbiotic interaction between persons, groups, and populations and the environment. Effects of architectural barriers, assistive technology, legislation, interpersonal and social issues, psychological aspects of a disability, and cultural differences are studied. Emphasis is also on fabricating and training in the use of orthoses, home modifications, adaptive equipment, and use of physical agent of modalities. Lab Fee.
