OTH 737 - Occupation and Participation: Older Adults[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Program. This course provides a working knowledge and application, analysis, and evaluation of the concepts and principles of occupational therapy with older adults in diverse setting using simulated and actual case materials. The focus of this course is the evaluation and intervention for maintaining and/or enhancing the occupational performance and participation of older adults in the areas of education, social participation, ADLs, IADLs, leisure, sleep/rest, and work to promote health and quality of life of persons, groups, and populations using the best evidence to support practice.
