OTH 740 - Occupational Therapy Research I[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Program. This course begins to prepare students to become critical appraisers of research and evidence used in OT practice and health care. This course prepares students for evidence-based practice by emphasizing best practices in selecting, applying and interpreting quantitative and qualitative methods for data analysis. Students will complete data analysis, determine the strength of evidence, gaps in the literature, development of future research questions, and ethics in research. They will identify a research topic, create a research design, and begin implementation of their research project on an important topic relevant to OT practice.
