ANT 321 - Psychological Anthropology[3 credit(s)] Anthropological approach to the study of personality, emphasizing comparison of social and cultural factors that produce culturally variable attitudes and beliefs about the nature of the social, environmental, and supernatural worlds of the individual. Topics include the structure and dynamics of symbolic expression, ecologies of stability and stress, and types of adaptive and maladaptive coping processes in the contexts of social change and modernization.
