EEC 417 - Embedded Systems[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: EEC 315 or 316, EEC 384. Software design of microcontroller-based embedded systems. Topics covered include microcontroller architecture, assembly programming, real-time interrupts, external interrupts, program size considerations, input/output issues, analog-to-digital conversion, serial port reception/transmission, step motor control, RS232 communication, and mathematics in a fixed point microcontroller.
