MUS 452 - Career in Composition[3 credit(s)] The course is designed to study aspects of how to build and maintain a career as a composer in a competitive music industry. Defining and researching the many resources available to composers within this industry will be coupled with detailed assignments and projects focusing on proposal composition and the vital understanding of music publishing, commercial recording , commissioning, contracts and publicity.
