NUR 219 - Pathophysiology for Nurses[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Students must be admitted to the Nursing Program. This course focuses on the exploration of various physiologic stressors by which disease occurs, the impact of the individual’s GRR on the response of the body and the effects of the disease on normal physiology. Selected disease entities will be examined by definition, epidemiology, etiology, diagnostic data and clinical manifestations. The clinical concepts of disease can be utilized by the professional nurse in the application of the nursing process in all settings.
