ART 347 - Intermediate Visual Technology: Web[3 credit(s)] Prerequisites: 1) ART 244; 2) Degree-seeking status, or enrollment in a Department of Art and Design program. Introductory instruction on web-standards-compliant HTML/CSS layouts, as well as design research and planning for interactive media. The course will focus on an understanding of web-based design, the graphic designer’s role in the development of rich media content and interactive spaces, and the inter-disciplinary exchange with other professionals. Coursework develops an understanding of communication, information structure/architecture, interaction, process, and prototyping.
