MTX 280 - Therapeutic Musicianship I[3 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Music therapy major. This course focuses on student development of a basic music therapy foundation on guitar, voice, and percussion. Students will begin to develop functional repertoire of traditional, folk, and popular music on each instrument and instructors will model how to integrate these skills into real-life clinical settings. Music therapy majors must earn at least a “B-” for this course to be counted towards the music therapy bachelor’s degree.
