MTX 152 - Music Therapy Ensemble: Orff[1 credit(s)] Prerequisites: Music therapy major or permission of course instructor. In this course, students will learn the basic elements of Orff Schulwerk, including speaking, singing, moving, body percussion, and playing instruments; how to adapt and arrange music for small Orff ensembles; how to improvise on pitched and non-pitched Orff instruments; how to care for and maintain Orff instruments; and basic functional conducting skills within a small Orff ensemble. Music therapy majors must earn at least a “B-” for this course to be counted towards the music therapy bachelor’s degree.
