CVE 426 - Technical Project Management

Prerequisites: ESC 282 OR FIN 351. Technical Project Management is an introductory course to prepare students to complete a technical project from start to finish. The engineering design process and general philosophy of project management is introduced. Construction and manufacturing processes and procedures are reviewed. In addition, different types of cost estimating, schedule planning by CPM and PERT, project roles and responsibilities, and project selection methods are covered. The course focuses on documentation typically required on a project, preparing documentation, and client management.
