MUS 412 - Music History II[3 credit(s)] Pre-req: Gen Ed Eng/Comp, MUS 113, MUS 234 and MUS 244 or permission of instructor. Survey of the history of Western music from 1750 to the present through examination of stylistic characteristics and literature from chronological eras, as well as individual composers’ lives and the culture of their times. Requires intensive listening and score study, and written assignments including the preparation of a research paper.
