DRE 605 - Internship II: Teachers as Leaders

This is a university-supervised student-teaching experience in working with students with diverse needs and characteristics; five days a week for one semester observing and teaching under a cooperating teacher’s direction. Successful completion requires demonstration of competencies necessary for primary, ECIS and TESOL licensures. During this course candidates will become familiar with the history, theories, and research in early childhood, special education and TESOL. The candidates will learn about and be engaged in reflective practices, collaboration with peers and advocacy for their students.
