ACT 676 - Advanced Accounting Analytics

Prerequisite: ACT 475/ACT 575 Accounting Analytics. This course builds on ACT 475/ACT 575 Accounting Analytics, and offers a comprehensive exploration of more advanced data analytics tools and methodologies in the context of accounting and financial management. Students will explore how to leverage big data, data mining, predictive analytics, and visualization tools to enhance decision making, audit processes, risk assessments, and financial reporting. Key topics include financial statement analysis, earnings management and discretionary accruals, fraud detection, auditing and data analytics, and risk management through advanced data techniques.
