COH 892 - Dissertation Writing[1-2 credit(s)] Prerequisites: PhD Candidacy Status (successful completion of competency exam and required coursework), completion and approval of proposal defense by the committee, passing grade of “B-” or higher for COH 891. The purpose of this course is for students to complete the final write up and synthesis of their doctoral research under the direction of a faculty advisor and their dissertation committee. Students and their assigned advisor/dissertation committee chair will create specific course objectives beyond the general objectives listed on this syllabus. Students will take a minimum 2 credits of COH 892. Students can register for 1-2 credits of COH 892 as needed each semester until the final written dissertation is completed. Typical full-time student enrollment during PhD Candidacy is 9 credits per semester of COH 892 and COH 899 (combined).
