COH 899 - Doctoral Research[1-9 credit(s)] Prerequisites: PhD Candidacy Status (successful completion of competency exam and required coursework), completion and approval of proposal defense by the committee, successful passing grade for COH 891. The purpose of this course is for students to complete supervised doctoral research under the direction of a faculty advisor. Students and their assigned advisor/dissertation committee chair will create specific course objectives beyond the general objectives listed on this syllabus. Students are required to take a minimum of 12 credits of COH 899. Typical full-time student enrollment during PhD Candidacy is 9 credits per semester of COH 892 and COH 899 (combined). Students may enroll for additional credits each semester with permission of their advisor and documentation of the learning objectives to be completed that match the additional number of credit hours the student registers for and within the policies of the graduate college. Students may continue to enroll in additional 1-6 credits of COH 899 as needed until the completion of their dissertation research is completed (i.e., all data collection and analysis is complete).
