CNS 800 - Research Methods and Publication in Counseling Psychology[1 credit(s)] Prerequisite: Acceptance into Counseling Psychology Program. This course is designed to introduce students to research methods and publication in the field of counseling psychology. The course will facilitate the development of research skills, including conducting effective literature reviews, and designing and conducting studies to answer significant research questions arising from the literature. It will also introduce students to the processes associated with presenting research findings at professional conferences, publishing in professional journals, and applying for research grants. The design of this course will also facilitate learning from and across cohorts in the counseling psychology doctoral program.
