MTH 115 - Applied Algebra

(4 credits)

Prerequisite(s): MTH 087 or suitable placement-test score. Extension of basic algebra techniques, linear equations, and linear inequalities, an introduction to functions, roots, radicals, exponents, quadratic equations, solution of second degree equations and applications, and the analysis and solution of word problems. This course does not fulfill the university General Education Requirement in quantitative literacy.
