MTH 117 - Mathematical Applications in the Real World(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): MTH 116 or MTH 119 . Not open to students who have previously earned credit for MTH 118 . This course continues the development of quantitative reasoning skills as started in MTH 116 . Topics in this course include the mathematics in population growth models, architecture, art, music, and voting systems.This course is for students not planning to major in a field requiring advanced mathematical skills. This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
