EEC 417 - Embedded Systems(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): EEC 314, EEC 315, EEC 380 and EEC 381 (Electrical Engineering), or EEC 313, EEC 316, EEC 380 and EEC 381 (Computer Engineering); must be enrolled in the College of Engineering to be eligible for this course. Software design of microcontroller-based embedded systems. Topics covered include: microcontroller architecture, assembly programming, C programming, real time interrupts, program size considerations, input/output issues, analog-to-digital conversion, serial port reception/transmission.
