EST 370 - Practicum:Early Childhood Edu

(3 credits)

Prerequisite(s): Must be a declared major or be enrolled as a post-baccalaureate student; must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, a 2.75 in all professional education courses, and have completed all prerequisite work. Requires four half-days per week for one semester, typically in a preschool setting observing and teaching under the direction of a cooperating teacher and a university supervisor; includes seminar. Practicum or student teaching (EST 480) placement must be in an urban setting. Both may be. Placement may be made in a setting that provides for the inclusion of children with special needs. Required for early childhood teaching license.
