FRN 344 - French Civ Mid Ages to Empire

(4 credits)

Prerequisite(s): FRN 301 or permission of instructor; must have at least sophomore standing to be eligible for this course. This course is a study of the social, political, economic and cultural history of France from the Middle Ages through the Napoleonic Empire. Through a chronological study of distinctive historical periods up to 1870, students will trace the origins of French culture as we know it today. This course may fulfill a General Education Requirement.
