IST 430 - Knowledge Management

Prerequisite(s): IST 221 or IST 305; must have at least junior standing and be a declared major in the College of Business to be eligible for this course. Introduces concept of Knowledge Management and the systems that enable us to acquire, store, distribute and process knowledge. Define what knowledge is, types of knowledge that exist. Understand how systems thinking is integral to understanding, management of knowledge. Economic issues. Acquiring, storing, distributing, and processing knowledge.
