MKT 490 - Marketing Internship

(4 credits)
Prerequisite(s): Junior standing, MKT 420, MKT 431, and minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Designed to provide marketing students with practical experience in career paths in marketing management, marketing research, sales, retailing, advertising, and related fields. Students must have an overall GPA of 2.5 and must work under the supervision of marketing professionals for three months. Internship credits will be based on hours worked: minimum 15 hours per week for two credits; 25 hours per week for three credits; or 35 hours per week for four credits. A term report must be submitted, incorporating theory, marketing tools, and practical applications to the sponsoring organization and the faculty advisor in the Department of Marketing.
