OSM 419 - Operations Strategy(4 credits) Prerequisite(s): OMS/OSM 311 or permission of department chair; must have at least junior standing and be a declared major in the College of Business to be eligible for this course. A study of the development and implementation of operations strategy in manufacturing and service settings, and the interface and integration of this strategy with other functional areas such as marketing, finance, etc. Topics include strategic perspectives on the design and introduction of new products and services, competitiveness, capacity, quality, choice of process and technology, productivity management and supply network relationships.
