PED 461 - Sport Governance

(3 credits)

Prerequisite(s): Must have at least sophomore standing, and a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher, to be eligible for this course. Governance structures used in amateur and professional sports will be explored. Emphasis will be placed on the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic Committee, and the National Governing Bodies; the National Collegiate Athletic Association; high school leagues; professional team sports leagues; and individual sport organizations.
