PHY 450 - Optics/Electromagnetic Waves

Prerequisite(s): Course is closed to freshmen and non degree students Maxwell equations; electromagnetic energy; electromagnetic waves; interaction of light with dielectric and metallic materials: dispersion; geometric optics; lenses and lens aberrations, mirrors, polarization, birefringence, interference, interferometer design, Frauenhoffer and Fresnel diffraction.
